Comment policy

We encourage your comments on Factually Speaking and want to make it as easy as possible.  We do have some ground rules, though.

First, we reserve the right to revise and amend this comment policy from time to time and any revised version will be deemed to be applicable at the time it is posted.

We won’t make you log in to the site, but in order to make sure the blog is a positive contribution to the policy debate, all comments will be moderated and your name will be published with your comment.

Here are the guidelines:

  • We encourage debate but please be civil and stay on topic.
  • The blog is focused on issues of substance so we will not post comments that are inflammatory or derogatory toward a person or group of people or that utilize name-calling, excessive rants or use all caps (screaming).
  • The Michigan League for Human Services is a 510(c)(3) nonprofit organization. That means we cannot engage in any kind of partisan activity.  Any mention of public officials must relate to their work or issues of interest.

Thank you! Happy posting!
